CHRISTY ADAMS

Born and raised on the East Coast, Christy left the United States for France while still a student and has made her home on the coast of Brittany for over thirty years.  Bicultural and bilingual, she is perfectly at home in both the US and France, and now divides her time between these two countries.  In addition to her years of experience as an intercultural communications trainer and an English teacher, Christy is a licensed tour guide in Brittany, and has acted as host and interpreter for numerous specialized culinary vacations and cultural tours as well as developer of French-American educational exchanges.  Her in-depth knowledge of Brittany - its people, its history, its culture - and her intimate familiarity with and love of Breton cuisine qualify her as the perfect guide and hostess for our "La Vie de Château" culinary adventure.

SUSAN DEARING
Co-Director, The Culinary Traveler

Susan acquired her culinary talents and love of cooking from her mother Elaine, and over the past 20 years she has studied and worked in various culinary capacities. Her background includes entrepreneurial experience as Founder and Owner of Susan's Gourmet Foods, an award-winning specialty food manufacturing company that she started in 1994, grew, and sold in 2000. Susan's additional culinary experience includes teaching "home chef" cooking classes for a culinary school in Southern California as well as catering numerous parties and events. Her background also includes work in corporate training and development, human resources consulting, and professional career coaching of business professionals.
