SUMMER 2013 BRITTANY TOUR DATES:
Sunday, June 30 to Friday, July 5, 2013
For special tour group information, please contact us at: info@culinary-traveler.com
This six-day culinary experience will take place in the beautiful Côte de Granit Rose
region of coastal Brittany. Tour participants have the rare opportunity to stay in an 18th century private
château belonging to one of the oldest families in France, while exploring the delicious cuisine, beautiful
sea coast and fascinating culture of Brittany.
Our accommodation for the tour, Le Château de Kerivon, has been in the Carcaradec family for over nine
generations, and is not open to the public. It is one of the few châteaux in the region with original family
furnishings, antiques and tapestries, many of which date back to the 17th and 18th centuries.
We have personally selected the best restaurants in the area, the most spectacular sites to visit, and the
most interesting places to shop - not to mention our chef! Chef Guillaume Fornasier is one of the best chefs
in the region. He prides himself in using only the very finest, locally-grown organic ingredients, and combines
them in original ways which enhance their natural flavors. Classically trained at some of the top restaurants in
France, including the famous Michelin 3-star La Tour d'Argent in Paris, Chef Fornasier is extraordinarily talented,
charming and creative.
In addition to 3 cooking classes all taught by Chef Fornasier, tour participants will be treated to a variety of other
culinary activities including a crêpe-making session, a seafood dinner at nearby Château
de Kermezen, and some fabulous restaurant meals. We will also have time to shop and take part in
some of the numerous cultural and outdoor activities which are scheduled every year in this popular summer vacation
resort. This is truly a memorable culinary adventure with incredible food and wine, the unique experience of being
special guests in a private castle, and the opportunity to deepen your cooking expertise and culinary knowledge of this
unique region of France!
